No, this is not another photoshopper having a field day. This is Matilija Dam with an environmental image. Sadly this dam has cause nothing except problems such as: depriving beaches of their sand/water, specialty trout have a physical wall they can’t seem to get through, and lastly it’s not being used. So a Banksy inspired artist (with anon likeness as well) took to rappelling this dam to send a message. Send it to the recycling bin. Locals agree. Now where did I put that petition?

Remembering 9/11

I was in 2nd grade, as everyone else I was getting ready for school, I could hear the TV was on churning out the local news while I was walking out of the hallway into the living room, only this time it wasn’t local news. What I saw were two HUGE buildings I have never seen before, one was smoking. At first I thought this was just some promo for a movie or just and ad, whichever the matter I just didn’t think it was real. So I brushed it off, sat and waited in the van for my mom to drive me to school. Then I realized those buildings were real when we took another Pledge of Allegiance, later that day. Later on the evening new came on with news of the twin towers. Then the next day, then the next day, in a seamlessly never ending retelling of that day. I really didn’t know why someone would do such a thing, How someone could do such a thing. Several years later when I was able to comprehend what took forth on that morning did it hit me. That day will never end in peace and everyday that follows it.
